The violent world of ant disputes. The ground around this conflict was littered with body parts of these two types of ant. The sighting is intended for the light brown coloured ants.

Yes, it can be a bit horrific. The large black ant is Camponotus aeneopilosus. Interestingly, in these disputes between two species, the small ants are as often the victors as the large ants.
