OK, I cropped the second photo a bit. Ignore the sedge and Sneezeweed. You will have to download the image to see the details of the fruit on the stem.

Barb, I can't see the succulent leaves of C. in the 1st photo; apart from umbrella sedge your second photo seems to show 2 species: the flowering plant and a plant in the upper part right hand side which I think is the Common Sneezeweed with flower heads.
